Welcome to Nightingale's sixth concert season! This year, our goal is simple: to continue making visionary choral music at the highest level while focusing on engaging deeply with our local community and the issues important to them. To that end, we have many exciting projects planned, including:
*The Massachusetts premiere of composer Greg Brown’s un/bodying/s, a multi-movement choral work about the construction of the Quabbin Reservoir
*SOLSTICE, a sound healing experience featuring original new music and sound installations that will dissolve the boundaries between audience and performer and embrace a collective act of creation
*Educational residencies on new music composition and performance at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music
*“Voices of Water,” a program featuring music that celebrates Massachusetts' water-based history, to include residencies and educational workshops at the Shalin Liu Performance Center and the Plymouth Patuxet Museum
*“Renaissance Reimagined,” a gala concert and dinner featuring innovative pairings of Renaissance madrigals with premieres of newly composed works
We can’t wait to share these experiences with you, but as a growing organization, we need your help to make it happen! Donate today to support Nightingale as we embrace music-making with and for our community.
